Greetings and welcome! My name is Paul Thomas Bole, Ed.D. I’m a licensed public school teacher, a college professor, and a nationwide educational consultant. Every year I attend graduation ceremonies and celebrate with the students and their families. It’s a celebrated experience full of energy and high hopes for the future and excitement for the next phase in life.
Unfortunately not all qualified graduates who want to attend university can do so due to their limited financial means. Students full of potential witness their dreams of attending a vocational school, college or university vanish as the realities of paying for these institutions become apparent. I have seen this time and time again and it never gets easier.
In 2002, I decided to take action and founded the National Scholarship Fund, which is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization. The National Scholarship Fund raises money to provide scholarships to current and former foster care kids. Every year thousands of foster care kids “age out” of the system when they reach their 18th birthday, losing much, if not all, of their support system. They are expected to navigate the world on their own including the extremely difficult process applying, matriculating, and completing a technical/college/university degree on their own.
I know my family played an enormous part in helping me progress through college and their encouragement kept me going in difficult times. I don’t think I would have graduated without that support. And I know I’m not alone. The National Scholarship Fund is an educational lifeline extended to foster care children giving them the opportunity to keep their dreams alive and their future bright. It really does take a village to raise a child. Will you do your part and help us keep the promise?
Thank You for your Support!
Paul T Bole, Ed.D.
